The Beehive State: Part Seven National Park Tour

June 12, 2021
Last day of the trip was sight seeing tours of the National Parks of Southern Utah.  I visited these sights when I first fished Utah with The Shermanator some 15 years ago.  Chul had never seen them so it was added to the agenda as respite from all the fishing and driving.

We started at Bryce Canyon and started at the visitor center for info, souvenirs and stayed to watch a film about the park.  Next stop we was Sunset Point to look at the hoodoos but after unsuccessfully trying to find a parking spot we headed to the lodge instead.  Parking was easy there so we could legally use the parking lot we would order a quick breakfast of pastries and fresh fruit.  We brought our food outside to enjoy the view while eating.   By parking and having breakfast it allowed us to check out the hoodoos from there after a quick walk.  This place is absolutely stunning and well worth a visit.
Next stop was Zion.  We entered from the East Entrance and drove our way toward South Entrance.  The last time I was here I did it in reverse.  This place was a zoo and driving through was slow and painstaking at places.  At the South Entrance we tried to stop at the Visitor Center but parking was impossible.  So I went in to pick us up some stickers while Chul would drive around.
Leaving the park we decided to hit another Freddy's in St. George before making our way home.  This chain was busier and I think the one we had in Vernal was much better but still good for fast food.
